Terms of Service

In short: Tovayo is a free, unlimited AI front-desk service. Use it to run a legitimate business — answer customers, book appointments, send reminders. Don't use it for anything illegal, abusive, or deceptive. We provide it "as is", and you can delete your account and all your data at any time.
1. Who we are
"Tovayo" ("we", "us") provides a hosted AI receptionist for small businesses at tovayo.com (the "Service"). The same software is also available as open-source code under the MIT license; these Terms govern the hosted Service only. If you self-host the code, the MIT license — not these Terms — applies.
2. The Service is free
The hosted Service is offered free of charge and without usage limits, in good faith. We may apply reasonable safeguards against abuse, and we may change, limit, or discontinue the free hosting at any time, giving reasonable notice where practical.
3. Your account
You must provide accurate sign-up information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, including the bot you connect and the messages it sends on your behalf. One account is intended for one business you own or are authorised to operate.
4. What the Service is for
The Service is a front desk for a real, lawful business: answering customer questions, scheduling, reminders, and similar legitimate communication. Use it strictly for that purpose.
5. Your responsibilities to your customers
- Consent & honesty. Only message people who have contacted you or agreed to be contacted.
Where appropriate, make it clear an automated assistant is involved (Tovayo already labels
its messages, e.g.
[AI assistant]). - Lawful data. You control the customer data you put into the Service. Collect and use it lawfully, and don't ask the assistant to collect data you have no right to.
- Accuracy. Keep your services, prices, hours, and policies accurate.
6. Prohibited uses
You may not use the Service to:
- break any law, or facilitate illegal goods, services, or activity;
- send spam, bulk unsolicited messages, scams, phishing, or fraud;
- harass, threaten, defame, or harm anyone, or promote hate or violence;
- impersonate others or misrepresent who you are;
- handle unlawful content (sexual exploitation, the unlawful involvement of minors, weapons, illegal drugs, or similar prohibited categories);
- attack, overload, reverse-engineer, or probe the hosted infrastructure, or circumvent abuse protections;
- resell the hosted Service as your own, or scrape it to build a competing hosted product.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with or without notice depending on severity.
7. AI output — no guarantees
The assistant uses third-party AI models and may occasionally be wrong, incomplete, or unavailable. You are responsible for reviewing what it does on your behalf (bookings, replies, cancellations). Don't rely on it for advice that requires a professional.
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties — for example an AI model provider that processes message content, and the messaging channel you connect (e.g. Telegram). Your use is also subject to those providers' terms.
9. Your data & deletion
How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy. Your conversations and business data are stored on our servers so the assistant has context, and you can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Danger zone. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.
10. Open source
The Tovayo software is MIT-licensed. You are free to use, copy, modify, and distribute it — including commercially — under that license, which disclaims warranties and liability for the software itself.
11. Warranty disclaimer
The hosted Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, bookings, or data, arising from your use of the free Service.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced in-product or on tovayo.com. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
